The Otto Group subsidiary quelle.de ventures has relaunched. After the failure as a market place seven months ago, it now acts as a pure online store. With approximately 300,000 items the store navigation is often not productive for visitors. Washing machines, for example, are both listed in the category “Privileg” and under “Household”. To really find all the products, a powerful search function is required. In addition to the lightning-fast search in the entire database, it must also generously forgive typos and still lead to the right product. Because the Austrian sister company quelle.at is already successful with the intelligent search of Exorbyte since the end of 2010, quelle.de has now also taken the search specialists on board to increase the usability, conversion rate and sales. With Exorbyte universal search the shoppers are already optimal supported while typing: Suitable for input and recalculated for each character, shoppers get relevant results in a drop-down box.
In Switzerland and Austria more online shops, which are also part of the Otto Group, rely on Exorbyte. Quelle.ch, the Swiss counterpart of Quelle and ackermann.ch start in May with Exorbyte Universal Search. Ackermann.ch is one of the largest online stores of the Confederation. With quelle.at sets Austria’s second largest online store on the fault-tolerant real-time search from Exorbyte.
